LEC summer finals in Madrid
29/07/2025If you're thinking of visiting Berlin to support our LOL and Valorant teams, this guide tells you everything you need to know.
The first thing to consider is tickets. Riot does not sell tickets at the Riot Arena; all tickets must be purchased online at https://emeatickets.lolesports.com/. To complete your purchase, you must register on the website.
Tickets are sold by matchdays, so it is important to check the list of matches that will be played on that matchday, as due to the format, not all teams play every day.
Once you have purchased your tickets and the date of the event is approaching, you can download them digitally by accessing the emeatickets website, clicking on your username, and selecting the “Orders” section.
Once you access the orders section, all the tickets you have purchased will appear. By clicking on each one, you can see the details, which allow you to download the physical version of the tickets in PDF or send them to your mobile phone with Google wallet.

If you have a problem and you can't attend, Riot gives you the option to return your tickets. To do so, go to the support section, which you'll find on the details screen for the ticket you want to return.
In the “Questions about the ordering process” section, at the bottom you will find a link with the text “Contact our support team.” Clicking on it will open a form. Simply indicate that you wish to return the ticket. You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your request and, within a few hours, an email confirming the return.
It 's important to note that the request must be made well before the start of the day, otherwise there won't be enough time to process the refund.

Now you know how to get your tickets, let's see how to get to Berlin
If you live in Spain, you can find daily flights to Berlin from Madrid, operated by Iberia, RyanAir and Air Europa. And also daily flights from Barcelona operated by Iberia, Vueling, Easyjet, RyanAir and Air Europa.
There're several departures a week from Valencia, Malaga, Alicante, and Palma de Mallorca airports.
You can search for the best option on the many flight comparison websites available on the market Kayak, SkyScanner, Edreams or Atrápalo. One option that will reduce the price is to look for trips that include stopovers. Keep in mind that the price is usually much lower, but it involves waiting several extra hours to complete the scale.
It's possible to travel by bus or train, but the journey takes many hours and there are no savings to be made. To make matters worse, it's not possible to buy a single ticket to travel from Spain to Berlin; you have to buy several tickets from different companies and make multiple transfers. Therefore, these options are not recommended.
Accommodation in Berlin
The Riot Arena isn't in the center of Berlin; it's in a neighborhood called Adlershof, near the airport. Keep this in mind when looking for accommodation. The area is also quite well connected, so you can easily reach the Riot Arena from anywhere in the city.
To find cheap accommodation, you can always use vacation rental platforms Airbnb or Booking. If you have a slightly larger budget, you can look for hotels in Kayak or Hoteles.com.
One trick that sometimes works with hotels is that when we find one we like on a search engine, we visit the hotel's official website. Sometimes they offer special deals when you book directly rather than through an aggregator.
One hotel we can recommend is the Meininger Hotel Berlin Airport. They offer private or shared rooms at a very reasonable price.
This hotel is 5 minutes from the Grünbergallee station (S9 y S45). From there, it's only 2 stops, to the Riot Arena, so you can get there with a reduced-price ticket.

From the airport to our destination
The airport in Berlin is called Berlín-Brandenburgo "Willy Brandt" (BER) and is located in the village of Schönefeld about 18 km southeast of Berlin. There're several means of transportation that will take us from the airport to the center of Berlin.

Berlin-Brandenburg airport terminal 1
Train
Located under the central concourse, in the arrivals area of terminals 1 and 2, the airport train station is accessible via the underground passageway connecting the terminals. Ticket vending machines and a departure board are available on the first underground level, while the platforms are on the second underground level.

There are two types of trains: regional trains and S-Bahn (“suburban trains”). Both stop at terminals 1 and 2.
The big difference between the two is that S-Bahn trains are slower due to the number of stops they make, but they also run slightly more frequently.
The list of regional trains that go to the city center is as follows:
- Airport Express (FEX): Departures every 30 minutes and the journey time is approximately 25 minutes. Some of the stops are: Ostkreuz, Gesundbrunnen and Hauptbahnhof, Berlin central station. From there, you can walk to your accommodation or connect to a subway, bus, or tram.
- RE8/RB23: Both trains follow the same route. Between them, trains depart every 30 minutes and the journey time is 29 minutes. Some of the stops are: Ostbahnhof, Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstr.
List of S-Bahn trains:
- S9: The frequency is every 20 minutes and the journey time is approximately 58 minutes. Some of its stops are: Charlottenburg, Zoologischer Garten, Hauptbahnhof, Friedrichstraße, Alexanderplatz and Ostbahnhof.
- S45: This train runs every 20 minutes and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Some of its stops are: Südkreuz, Schöneweide and Adlershof.
This is the complete table of prices and ticket types:

Make sure you choose a ticket that is valid for zones ABC, as Berlin-Brandenburg airport is in zone C. For the rest of Berlin, a ticket for zones AB will suffice. Tickets are valid for 2 hours, during which time you can transfer between metro, bus, and train services.
If you want to know how the vending machine works, here is a step-by-step explanation.
Please note that there are no turnstiles at station entrances in Berlin. Tickets are validated using small devices located on the platforms. The ticket itself indicates the direction in which it should be inserted into the validation machine. When you do so, you will hear a click or beep, which means that the ticket has been validated.

The S-Bahn runs weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. On weekends, it runs 24 hours a day, with trains every 30 minutes. Here you will find an interactive map of the entire Berlin rail network.
„Individual tickets are valid for 2 hours, during this time you can transfer between metro, bus, or train.”
Bus
Another option for getting to the city center is the bus. The price of the trip is the same as the train, i.e., €4.70 for adults and €3.40 for children aged 6 to 14. Children under 6 travel free. Please note that, as with the train ticket, you can use any metro, train, or bus transfer for two hours after purchasing the ticket.
The routes offering service from the airport are:
- X7: Line to Rudow subway station. Departs every 20 minutes.
- X71 : This line also passes through Rudow but continues on to Alt-Mariendorf. It runs every 20 minutes.
If you want to know how the bus and subway ticket vending machine works, here is a step-by-step explanation.

Subway
In Berlin, the subway is called the U-Bahn. There is no subway station at the airport, but it is important to know if there is a station near your destination, as you can easily transfer from the airport. Here you can see a complete map of the Berlin subway and its connections.
Apps
There are several apps that can help you with your travels:
- Citymapper: A comprehensive app that allows you to easily choose from multiple routes to reach your destination. Available in web and app.
- Jelbi: It's an app from the Berlin transport company. It allows you to find the best route to your destination and shows you how to get there by train, bus, and subway. But it also includes how to get there by scooter, rental bike, car sharing, and even taxi. Here you will find thea App
We're already in Berlin and the big day has arrived. We're going to the Riot Arena to see Movistar KOI.
As mentioned above, the Riot Arena is located in the Adlershof neighborhood, specifically at the following address: Am Studio 20D, 12489 Berlin, Alemania
It's important to arrive before the start of the day, as tickets are not numbered.
The easiest way to get there from central Berlin is to take one of the trains that stop at Adlershof station (S8, S9, or S45).
It's about a 15-minute walk from the train station to the LEC studio.
The entrance to the complex where the Riot Arena is located is only distinguishable because it has a banner with the LEC logo. Once inside, we must go to the end of the complex, where the K/L studio is located. The entrance is decorated with LOL and Valorant paraphernalia.

Entrance to the Riot Arena
Upon arrival, your ticket will be checked and you will be given a wristband that will allow you to enter and leave the studio during the event. Coats, backpacks, suitcases, etc. are not allowed in the seating area. A free cloakroom is available for your belongings.
In the entrance hall you will find:
- Merchandise store with teams t-shirts and Riot stuff
- Bar, selling coffee, soft drinks, water, beer, hot dogs, pretzels, chocolate bars, etc.
- Gaming area with a couple of computers ready to play ARAM
- Exhibition featuring the LEC trophy you can take a photo with it.
When you enter the seating area, you will see that Riot staff usually indicate with a sign which side each team will play on in the next match, in case you want to sit on the side where Movistar KOI will play.

View from the stands
The matchday is over, now what?
Please note that the area where the Riot Arena is located is a business district, not a residential area, and although there are several restaurants, very few are open after 11:00 p.m. You can visit Adler burguer, which is open until 2:00 a.m., or Mcdonalds in Adlershof, which closes at 3:00 a.m.
But if you're looking for something different, you'll probably have to go to the center of Berlin to find something open.
Route ends
We hope this guide has been useful to you, and if so, we hope you enjoyed a Movistar KOI victory.
