The most anticipated event of the year is finally approaching, and with Movistar KOI qualifying for the Swiss phase, many fans are considering visiting the Asian giant to see them make history.
Pero China es un país con particularidades a conocer antes de plantearte ir y que debes tener en cuenta durante tu visita, para aprovechar al máximo tu experiencia.

First of all, when and where?
The Worlds will be played between October 14 and November 9, 2025. The event will be held at three venues depending on the stage of the competition:
- Opening and Swiss Stage - Beijing Smart Esports Center, Beijing (October 14 to October 25)
 - Knockout stage - Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghái (October 28 to November)
 - Final - Multifunctional gym at Dong'an Lake Sports Park, Chengdu (November 9)

Tickets for the opening and group stages are now available and can be purchased from outside China at the following web and from within China at this other website . There are two price tiers for tickets:
- Level 1: 488,00 ¥
 - Level 2: 388,00 ¥

Tickets are already sold out, but on October 13 at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish time), some tickets for the Swiss phase will be released at this web .
Requirements for entering China
Until the end of 2025, European citizens and citizens from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay are exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa to enter China for tourist trips of up to 30 days.
The Worlds last 36 days. If you want to attend the entire championship, or if you are from a Latin American country not included in the list of exemptions, you will need to obtain a visa for your visit. To do so, you must visit this web , where you can select your country of origin and find all the information you need to submit your application.
Please note that a requirement for entry into the country is to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months and has two empty pages.

China is different
When you enter China, the first thing you'll notice is that many of the tools you normally use don't work (Google, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
Therefore, in order to operate normally, it is mandatory to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Basically, the VPN hides your device's true location and informs the service provider that you are in another country, allowing you to access all content securely and privately. Recommended VPNs would be Astrill , LetsVPN or Wannaflix .
In China, in almost all cases, the only payment methods available are Alipay (支付宝), WeChat Pay (微信支付). Both allow you to link your international credit card and pay directly by scanning a QR code with your cell phone. It is very common to see all kinds of establishments with a blue QR code (Alipay) and a green QR code (WeChat Pay) so that you can make your payment directly.
Here you will find a guide to setting up Wechat Pay and here for setting up Alipay .
In China it is not advisable to take taxis; it is much better to use ride-hailing services (cars with drivers). The main ride-hailing app in China is Didi here you will find a guide on how to download and use it.
